April 10 Announcements

Relief Society Announcements:

Be sure to mark on your calendar Tues. May 3. We will be having a mother and daughter Luau. It will be a lot of fun so make sure you plan to come with your daughters and granddaughters.

If you are reading the Book of Mormon in 100 days, yesterday you should of read:
Day 97
Read: Moroni 5-7
Mark: Moroni 7:47-48
“The phrase ‘love of Christ’ might have meaning in three dimensions: (1) love for Christ; (2) love from Christ; (3) love like Christ….People who have charity have a love for the Savior, have received of his love, and love others as he does.”
~ Elder C. Max Caldwell
How often do you pray for charity? Why do you think you would be a better person if you were filled with charity?

The spirit we receive as we read the scriptures each day will guide us in all we do. We will be better wives, mothers, grandmothers and all we are called to do, if we will make it a habit of daily scripture study.

April 3 Announcements

Sunday, April 3, 2011

Relief Society Announcements:

Happy Birthday to: 9th: Dena Raner

Make sure you come Tuesday night for our night meeting at 6:30 at the stake center. We will be doing a lesson on scripture study, making scripture bags, and dry erase quiet books. It will be lots of fun so try to be there.
I hope all were able to hear conference it is such a blessing to be able to hear the messages from our leaders. It will be exciting to study their messages for the next few months.

Our Ward’s Relief Society now has a blog where you can get the information about what is going on. The address is: enterprisefirstrs.blogspot.com At some point we hope to put the things we are doing for the night meetings on. We are also going to start emailing the announcements each week. Meagan Staheli is the one who is doing this for us, so she won’t have to type in every ones email address, we are asking you to send a message to her at enterprisefirstrs@gmail.com We hope everyone who can will participate in this and we will stop making as many copies of the record and the weekly announcements. If you have any questions please ask one of the presidency or Meagan. We are really excited about this.

If you are reading the Book of Mormon in 100 days, today you should read:
Day 91
Read: Ether 1-3
Mark: Ether 3:4-5
“What ever Jesus lays his hand upon lives. If Jesus lays his hands upon a marriage, it lives. If he is allowed to lay his hands upon the family, it lives.”
~ President Howard W Hunter
Look at the symbolism in the account of the Savior touching the stones that lit the way for the Jaredites. What does this account teach you about the touch of the Savior’s hand? How have you felt the Lord’s hand in your life?

What a Blessing the Book of Mormon is to each of us. I hope each of us has taken the opportunity to study the scriptures this year. Always remember what a blessing they are in our every day life.
