Relief Society Announcements:

Happy Birthday:  May 24th: Barbara Hunt & Linda Jones

On Tuesday, June 7th  6 to 9, at the stake center.  We are going to have a quilt to tie, so if you didn’t sign up for a craft come help with it.  If you signed up for the wreath decorations please bring a fine tipped sharpie.  They are still accepting money for the flag block craft.  Plan to attend it will be lots of fun.

If you didn’t get a call your visiting teaching hasn’t been changed There aren’t a lot of changes. Those who had Barbara Bunting and Rolayne Nelson as supervisors,   please call Connie until we can get new supervisors.  As soon as the new ones are called we will be sending out slips to every one.

Orchard Assignment for fruit thinning on Wednesday May 25, 2011.  Need 100 workers from 5:30 pm until dusk.
Please remember how very important it is to do your visiting teaching, visiting teaching was divinely ordained of God.  After you have it done please remember to call your supervisors (or Connie if you don’t have one).   Thank-you so much for being willing to give service and teach each other.

Sister Teddi Jones sent this message to us: I received a call from a Mr. Nissalke (President Barlow referred him to me) about ordering Bartlett pears.  The pears will be from Medford, Oregon.  They are $25 for a 40-pound box.  He needs the orders by August 1 and the pears will be here around the 15th of September.  This is quite a ways away, but I quess you can announce it now to inform your sisters, then remind them again in June and July.  You can have them contact me at 878-2491 if they are interested, and I will contact Mr. Nissalke.

Remember:

  Seek – through Scripture Study
  Ask – Prayer
Knock – by Obedience (Temple Work)

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life; and they are they which testify of me. (John 5:39).

“I am grateful for emphasis on reading the scriptures.  I hope that for you this will become something far more enjoyable than a duty; that, rather, it will become a love affair with the word of god.  I promise you that as you read, your minds will be enlightened and your spirits will be lifted.  At first it may seem tedious, but that will change into a wondrous experience with thoughts and words of things divine.” (Gordon B. Hinckley)
